| Surface Grade Explanation | B Grade: The best grade of rotary cut, allowing <5mm knots and oval patches, with a flat sanded surface. BB Grade: Sub-optimal grade, allowing 5-10mm knots and more putty patches, with a slightly coarse sanded finish. CC Grade: The lowest grade, tolerating large knots, cracks and open holes >15mm, with a rough surface. | A Grade: Entry level decorative grade, only <2mm small knots are allowed, manual repair is strictly prohibited. A+ Grade: No knots, mineral lines and repair marks on the surface, good color consistency. AA Grade: High-end standard grade, with zero flaws and clear “ribbon pattern”, supports Slip Match. AA+ Grade: Luxury Custom grade, with a selected same log for Sequence Match, which ensures precise and continuous grain extension across multiple boards. AAA Grade: High Art, the ultimate in perfection, with Book Match support to ensure a seamless texture throughout the space. |

How PUSEN Controls the Quality of Sapele Plywood
At PUSEN, every sheet of Sapele Plywood is produced under a strict quality control system to ensure premium appearance, stable structure, and consistent performance for high-end applications.
1. Strict Selection of Sapele Veneer
We carefully select natural sapele face veneer based on color consistency, grain pattern, and surface quality. Only veneers with rich tone and minimal defects are used for production to ensure a premium decorative finish.
2. Core Material Grading Control
Different grades of core materials (poplar, eucalyptus, or hardwood) are sorted before production. Each core is inspected for density, voids, and moisture balance to guarantee strong structural stability.
3. Moisture Content Control
Both veneer and core materials are dried under controlled conditions. We strictly maintain optimal moisture levels to prevent warping, cracking, or delamination during usage.
4. Glue & Pressing Process Management
We use high-quality E0/E1-grade adhesive systems. During hot pressing, temperature, pressure, and pressing time are precisely controlled to ensure strong bonding strength and long service life.
5. Surface Quality Inspection
After pressing, each board is carefully checked for:
Color uniformity
Surface smoothness
Grain alignment
Defects such as bubbles, overlaps, or open joints
6. Sanding & Finishing Control
Advanced sanding equipment ensures a smooth and even surface, making the plywood ready for direct finishing, veneering, or coating applications.
7. Final Inspection Before Shipment
Every sheet undergoes final QC inspection covering:
Thickness tolerance
Flatness
Structural integrity
Appearance quality
Only products that fully meet PUSEN standards are approved for packaging and export.
PUSEN Commitment
Through strict raw material control and standardized production processes, PUSEN ensures every Sapele Plywood panel delivers consistent quality, elegant appearance, and reliable performance for global customers.
